These services were provided for a manufacturing operation. The company had a need for an outside vendor to create a formal certification process for hiring and/or promoting maintenance employees to the Maintenance Planner position. To accomplish this, our team identified key tasks and skills for the Maintenance Planner position. We then listened to the needs of the customer, verified the need through a needs analysis, job profiling and interviews, and designed customized training curriculum with associated assessments based upon the needs. Candidates who successfully completed the certification process were measured based upon how effectively they performed their assignments prior to the certification process versus after implementing the certification process. Within the first year, feedback from the customer stated there was improvement in job efficiency, and realized savings of several thousand dollars in significant cost reduction and cost avoidance.
